With summer, Cathy and David Guetta return to Ibiza and to their residency al Pacha. And this is the moment of their compilation's album release too.

The album is available since yesterday . I love this compilation because it includes the actually best songs and all of these sounds very nice.

Sunny
I don't usually listen to Deep House, but this is an exception. Umami's 'Sunny' (Original Mix) is a remake from Bobby Hebbs song, made in deep. I found this jewel on Beatport Top 100 two weeks ago on the most high positions. Sunny is include in Seven Days EP by Umami and released by KATERMUKKE.
The track sounds soooo nice.
It's A Matter Of...
Yesterday was the date for the new Afrojack's release by Wall Recordings (his own label), 'It's A Matter Of...', an EP with four new tracks:
1 Ray Bomb (Original Mix) (6:50) (128 BPM) (Electro House) (Fmaj)
2 Rocker (Original Mix) (5:28) (130 BPM) (Electro House) (Gmin)
3 Griever (Original Mix) (6:13) (128 BPM) (Progressive House) (Cmin)
4 Yubaba (Original Mix) (4:56) (128 BPM) (Progressive House) (Cmin)
I was waiting for these release to get the complete tracks. I like so much Afrojack's style and sounds, their are unmistakable. Personally, I support 'Rocker' and 'Griever'; I think that the melody of 'Yubaba' is horrible. What U think about?

MAKJ
[Love this cover]
MAKJ has a characteristic style. He normally uses a very fat and distorted bass and a plucked lead (a sylenth/nexus-type lead) with legato, usually the same sounds in his tracks. The melodies are simple, with drops, like the house songs that initially used to compose (Check 'Conchy' and 'Crunch')
His tracks sound really good. I believe that we will talk a lot about him in the future!

MEGA
David Guetta DJ Mix #151
This is the tracklist:
02. Daddy’s Groove & Rob Adans – Unbelievable (Doorn)
03. IIIOIIIUR – Jaded Thug (CDR)
04. Chocolate Puma – 2000 People (Mixmash)
05. W&W – Thunder (Mainstage Music)
06. JAXXON – Ermahgerd (New State)
07. BURNS – Limitless (Arno Cost Remix) (Columbia)
08. David Guetta ft Ne-Yo & Akon – Play Hard (Albert Neve Remix) (What A Music)
09. Hellberg & Matt Prey ft Brenton Mattheus – Hope (Musical Madness)
10. EDX & Laventina – The Sun (Spinnin)
11. Knife Party – LRAD (Big Beat)
12. AutoErotique – Asphyxiation (Dim Mak)
13. Moska ft Antione Becks – Insane (Mad Decent)
This is the case of IIIOIIIUR (MOMUR to read it easily), which songs were included in this and in other Guetta's podcasts [ IIIOIIIUR – Schemata (CDR) at #149 ] but I couldn't find any site to download these songs or any more information of him: only a 0dayhotmusic podcast (0dayhotmusic.com/momur/iiiix-ep1), a twitter (@momurofficial) and a soundcloud profile (soundcloud.com/momur) that not even know if correspond to the same person. I will investigate this in the future.
Then, we know that David likes a lot the 'Play Hard' remix by the spanish DJ Albert Neve, because he was including the track in the last three or four podcasts.
As a commentary for the other songs; I love Joe Gil's vocals for Dirty South; I listen for first time to 'Ermahgerd', 'Asphyxiation', 'The Sun' and Arno Cost remix for Burns' 'Limitless' too and I think that they can be a very good dirty electro-house sounds for the clubs: I'll include some of them in my next mixes.
A thing that I can't understand is why the podcasts are uploaded with odd numbers. Where are the even number podcasts like #150 or #148? At davidguettadjmix.blogspot.com.es/ I found the tracklists of the sessions (and until #155) including even numbers and downloading links, but I couldn't find them on an official webpage. This is suspicious...

Roar
I have found at http://www.remixcomps.com/ a new constest from Indaba Music (@indabamusic), a NYC label that brings artists a lot of this contests: I think this a excellent opportuniy!
They want the best remix of the new track of Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso 'Roar' included in the new Disney film 'Monsters University', the prequel of 'Monsters Inc.' (I love this film).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgIBFOagT0Y
I was shocked when I know that two components of Swedish House Mafia (Steve Angello not included) have produced a song for a kid's movie (they usually produce progressive and electro house), but when I listened to it, I was surprised: The song is so thematic.
This is a House (so pure house) track which includes a massive saw-type bass that I enjoy a lot. The piano (it sounds like a Nexus) and the vocals make it look like a 80's track. Then there is a distorted guitar used as pluck, a very pop sound. The result is amazing!
I will start this days to make my own electro-house version of 'Roar' (and play a lot with the bass).

Working!
Hi! I'm actually working on various remix contests. I've found http://www.remixcomps.com/. There are a lot of songs to remix (more than 100 contests at the same time). I think this will enjoy me for a lot of time.
